We Are Moving

Well to make a long story short.... I (Adam) have been in Boston since April 12th and have secured a wonderful job working for a company in Boston as a Software Engineer. We have made an offer on a home in the Dorchester / Mattapan Neighborhood and it was accepted. We hope to close on the house this week which would be ideal since Heather and the boys will be flying in next saturday and our possessions making its way by moving truck on friday (courtesy of my Dad and Brother driving). Wow, it has been quite the journey so far and just to think it is only beginning. The potential for ministry is amazing here in Boston and God is really at work. Thank you to all who have been such an encouragement to us through all of this. I will post photos of the house as soon as I can and keep you updated.

Possible Job

We drove to Boston on Easter Sunday for Adam's second interview for the same position. He would be working as a computer technician for a Charter School. Monday, we looked for a house in Doorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury, MA - they are all neighborhoods of Boston. Then, we returned home on Tuesday. Therefore, We continue to wait on Lord for His direction, and Adam coninues to look for jobs as we hope to move by Memorial Day weekend. Pray for Adam to secure a position where the Lord wants Him to be.

Lots of change

Well we are bound for boston sooner than later after some recent developments in our way of getting there. We have decided to pursue a different route of ministry and forego deputation and proceed with tent-making ministry in boston. Through much prayer and Godly advice we have made the decision to go. In fact we will be leaving early sunday morning to drive to Boston because Adam has an interview monday morning for a position that would allow us a means to minister in Boston. More to come later as to this decision and an explanation as well. Thanks to all of you for your prayers.

Update long overdue

I am finally updating after almost a month on the road. Things are progressing well with us on this extended trip in wisconsin and michigan. We have now been to 7 churches in the last several weeks and are looking forward to spending time with my family the next two weeks as we are in eau claire. We are grateful for God's provision for us and keeping us safe on the road with all of the wild wisconsin drivers ;-} So far no news as to any new supporters but we know it is in God's timing and we just need to learn patience and reliance upon Him. I will try and update a few more times this week on things...

Back Up Nort

We we finally arrived here at grammies house (which is what silas calls it) after am 10 hour drive from ohio. We left at 5am so I am a little tired now after being awake so long, normally I am a late night person not an early morning one. We are looking forward to being back in the UP tomorrow as we visit a church in Escanaba. I started growing a beard last week just for this trip since I figured I would fit in a little better up here with the fall deer hunting season just around the corner. Beards arent a big thing in ohio but they fit right in up here. Heather is staying with the boys here as I resume my travels on monday to see my family and then on to a missions conference on wednesday. We travelled through the entire state of michigan in getting here and on the the way you could see the gradual spread of the fall colors as the trees are in full beauty here. I look out the window and am amazed at the creativity of our Creator in all the dazzling colors. What an Awesome God we serve!

some new pictures

On the Road again...

We will be leaving this coming saturday to share our future ministry with churches throughout Wisconsin as well as Michigan. We praise God for the opportunity to serve Him in this capacity and hope that we can be a blessing to others on this journey. In light of this long trip we will be away from home for seven weeks. We'll see how Silas and Elijah do being away from home for that long. Silas just asked me on monday as he was looking out the window and saw the moon. "Daddy why is the moon following us?" That question brought on another opportunity to teach him about God's creation. Also Elijah has been learning new words everyday and he especially likes to say "Too Hot" when you give him his food and it is still steaming. Well I will write more later.
